Cross Border and Localised Mental Health Education Programmes
There are few opportunities to educate and give practical skills to employees and teams who work internationally and cross borders.
Â
This is one of a limited number of opportunities to work in this way.
Â
The work is culturally sensitive, open-minded and curious, designed specifically to span the broad spectrum of ways that the world currently and historically understands health and its subsets; Â physical, mental and social health.

Mental Health Education - Core Modules
We have been delivering these courses globally for many years now having worked with different clients across multiple countries in every region.
Â
The primary programme comprises four modules delivered online over 2-4 weeks depending on schedules.

This is relational work so each session differs by who is in the room and what their needs and hopes are. Time is dedicated to getting to know each other, sharing appropriately, and learning together to be curious, manage our judgements, and become more self-aware and compassionate to the human condition in an ever increasingly difficult world.

The core content is always adapted to meet individual client needs and timeframes and so various elements can easily be delivered in different ways from webinars, to short courses, to longer programmes.
Module 1: Getting Curious
In this module we typically consider key areas relating to the definitions of health, working our way through the bio-psycho-social model of mental health, considering whether recovery remains a useful term, and we introduce our methodology PENELOPE.
Â
Everything in this module is targeted at becoming comfortable with different perspectives so that we can get to know the subject and each other a bit better.
Â
From a position of open-minded curiosity rather than fixed ideas and judgement.
Module 2: Seeking To Understand
Here we begin to understand the journey of understanding typical human biological responses to life events and experiences such as emotional responses and being knocked out of being able to think clearly.
Â
We move along the continuum towards moments where these responses become sticky and difficult and which can become diagnoses. We explore some key conditions that we recognise as serious mental health conditions.
Module 3: From Surviving to Thriving
In this section we explore stress, trauma and crisis, and sensitively touch into suicide and protocols around suicide prevention.

We look at the concept of recovery and the human condition and discuss these terms in a meaningful way looking at this individually and collectively.
Module 4: Offering Appropriate Protection
In our final module, we take a deeper look into aspects of managing our personal demands and finding resources, understanding boundaries, and the application of an ethical framework.Â
