Mental Health & Suicide First Aid training

Delivering the MHFA England​ adult half-day, one-day and two-day courses as well as the one day qualification in Suicide First Aid.

 

MHFA Half-Day

The half-day is an awareness programme run over a four hour session.

 

MHFA One-Day

The one-day is a mental health champion training and goes into great depth than the half day.

​

MHFA Refresher

A half day refresher, recommended each year for those already taken the Two-day or One-day MHFA England programmes.

​

SFA One-day

The one-day City and Guilds qualification in suicide first aid and prevention.

​

MHFA Two-Day

The two-day certifies delegates as adult mental health first aiders (those working with young people can attend an MHFA youth course). Delegates will gain an understanding of what mental health is and what factors can affect it. The course teaches practical skills and develops in them the confidence to support a person who needs assistance.

Who?

​

The course is suitable for those who want to gain skills in having a non-judgmental conversation, to recognise the signs and symptoms of a range of mental health issues and to guide a person towards the right support.

Two days.

 

Assessment?

 

There is no formal assessment for this course but you must complete all sections of the course.

 

Certification?

 

On completion of the course, you will receive a Mental Health First Aider certificate from the MHFA.
